| Das Audiolith (Hamburg) (deutsch) Das Audiolith, Lars Lewerenz oder auch einfach „Partymaschine Lars“ – Gründer und Gehirn des Hamburger ElectroPunk-Labels Audiolith Records, Netzwerker, Musikfreak, Clickclickdecker-Bassist und vieles mehr. Aber eins nicht: DJ. Zumindest wenn man ihn fragt. Trotzdem immer wieder oft und gern als ebensolcher gebucht auch wenn es das Wort „Selector“ wahrscheinlich besser trifft. Seine Spezialität: eklektische Musikauswahl, gelegentlich harte stilistische Brüche und immer wieder eine Überraschung für das Feiervolk am Start. Das freut sich meist sehr und wenn die Hütte dann richtig brennt entwickelt Das Audiolith zuweilen auch am Mikrofon ungeahnte Entertainmentqualitäten. Cool geht vielleicht anders, aber rocken tut’s trotzdem. Und das ist die Hauptsache. Abfahrt! (english) Das Audiolith - or Lars Lewerenz as he is better known to his parents or „Partymaschine Lars“ as he is oftenly referred to as by friends and followers – is a phenomenon not easily to explain. First of all he is an ultra-nice, funny guy that’d never ever consider calling himself a DJ and in fact he isn’t – especially not when it comes to technical versatility or long faultless blends, mixes, scratches or in-time cuts. But still and despite that you’ll find that guy on the decks all over the place for one plain and simple reason: Das Audiolith is the man behind Germany’s favourite ElectroPunk-imprint Audiolith Records, home to well-appreciated bands like Frittenbude, Egotronic, Juri Gagarin, The Dance Inc. and others, the main motivator and inspiration for loads of people plus a connection machine par excellence. Call his selection eclectic, his mixing gallopping horses and be puzzled by the fact that this selector, let’s name him like that rather than DJ, isn’t microphone shy at all when the floor is burning – wherever that guy is on the decks you’ll have a shitload of smiling faces on the floor and good vibes floating around. That’s what a party should be about, innit? |
